Q&A

It's that time again, I've submitted some of the most popular questions. . .
Q: Are we having a ward party/chili cookoff this weekend?
A: Unfortunately, no, there was a scheduling conflict, but don't be too down, we have 2, that's right, 2, RS Halloween activities this week. 1-thursday night-Halloween party (see post below), 2-Playgroup Halloween Party at Kiersten Millitoni's at 11:00 a.m. on Friday 131 E 300 N. You can attend both and wear the same costume twice.
Q: Is Joaquin park open yet?
A: Yes, after the ribbon cutting ceremony where a little boy cut the ribbon about 5 times, the park was officially open.
Q: Who is in the new bishopric?
A: Yes, Bishop MacDonald. Bro. Brockbank and Bro. Rush are his counselors.
Q: Is it Fast Sunday this week?
A: Nopers, it's the second week in November because this Sunday is Ward Conference. Don't forget to arrive at church a little early to prepare yourself spiritually but then again, you'll be later than usual as it is daylight savings, so come to church only 45 minutes later than usual.
Q: That's confusing.
A: I know.
Q: When is the Super Saturday Enrichment Activity?
A: November 14 from 9 until noon. Oh, and your money is due this week if you want to make a gift/craft for Christmas.
Q: Thank you for the reminder.
A: You're welcome.

QUIZ-let's see who pays attention in RS. . .

Who is the Relief Society President:

A. Rae McAdams
B. Kate Gosselin

C. Dorie Boren

D. Cami Kenworthy

Answer: Give yourself a pat on the back if you picked "C." But. . . if you picked "A" or "D" you were close and get .25 points because those two ladies make up the presidency. If you picked "B" don't be too hard on yourself but it's probably time to put down the Us Magazine during Relief Society.

Halloween Party-this Thursday at 7!!!

The time is quickly drawing near. There will be food, good food that is, costumes, fun, spooks, and the potential to crash a stake meeting down the hall. Where do you sign up you ask? The details are below:
What: Halloween Party
Who: Provo Peak 3rd Ward Relief Society, aka "The Girls Night Out Crew"
Where: The church, room: either RS or Priesthood
When: 7:00 p.m.
Attire: Your best Halloween costume or yourself in normal clothes
Q&A:
Q: Will there really be apple bobbing? I'm worried about the Swine Flu.
A: I understand, we'll have antibacterial for everyone to wash out their mouths beforehand.
Q: Do I really have to wear a costume?
A: You're lame for even asking, but we embrace all people.
Q: Will the stake meeting have better food?
A: The Halloween party will have Halloween themed food which is cute and tasty. But feel free to stick your head into the stake meeting just in case.
Q: Who's all going?
A: Everyone.

Things to do-Bean Museum

Many of might not know about the Bean Life Science Museum located on BYU campus which is open to the public and has a plethora, that's right a plethora of fun activities, most of which are free and quite entertaining. We've gone with different families for FHE for the reptile show which is a hoot esp. seeing the live animals, you can always tour the museum and after looking at their calendar of events for the fall, whoah! There's a ton. My husband really liked it too, so you don't necessarily need to have kids along, they even have a special date night. You will have to visit the website for the address because I couldn't find one (BYU is the address) the best way I can describe is that it is on the street just south of the Marriot Center. Anywho here is more info:

Regularly scheduled public shows:
Mondays: Reptiles at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Craft Club-This Wednesday!!!

Come this Wednesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Melissa's house (270 N 100 E) to make custom envelopes and gift boxes. So with my husband returning back to school a lot of people in the family might be getting "letters" from me this year as their Christmas gift. Hopefully the letters will be nice but just in case, it's nice to add the extra touch of a cute envelope or box. Maybe I'll use a "Juicy" logo for my sister's letter so she'll still think she's getting a namebrand gift. So, bring paper if you can (from magazines, newspaper funnies, scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, etc) or if not Melissa has extra! Hope you can come! You're on your own for the letters or gifts though, maybe I can print a generic letter on my next post that you can use.
